Pandit Sheel Bhadra Yajee was an extra ordinary freedom fighter. He had no desire for material comfort. He had no source of income and yet refused to accept funds even from his children or from any well wisher. Even, an application for grant of freedom fighter’s pension of Rs. 500 per month was signed by him after great deal of persuasion by one of his friends. He was a freedom fighter who devoted his entire life to the service of the people of this country.
