Yajeeji joined the non-cooperation movement at the tender age of sixteen and participated actively in the freedom struggle thereafter. His dedication to the causes he espoused in his belief in socialism, he worked tirelessly and selflessly for organising the poor and the under privileged with a view to strengthen them and promote their well-being and welfare.
Freedom fighters and their families will never forget the labour of love which Yajeeji undertook on their behalf. While the void created by his demise can never be filled, all of us who were associated with him owe it to continue his work with the same sense of purpose, discipline and integrity.
